About this Role:
Reporting to the Director of Renata, this leadership role exists to lead and develop a regionally based team in the national management brand, Renata Residential. As the Associate Director you will take accountability for the delivery of all services within your operational sector and support the Director to deliver the business plan and ensure the operational targets are exceeded.
The role is focussed on developing the team with mentoring and leadership to drive excellence in all that we do and ensure that customer and clients receive great service as the result.
You will be a subject matter expert and able to support the team of Property Managers with advice and guidance on technical and procedural matters ensuring best practice is achieved. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development in the team is key.
The Associate Director will work closely alongside the Director and play a key role in new business development and operational strategy for Renata.
An understanding of commercial principles and making decisions based on sound business acumen is essential and in order to support the Director in the delivery of the Renata business plan and targets.
A very strong set of client relationship skills is critical to ensuring the success of the brand, proactively engaging with clients and the ability to resolve issues that arise at an early stage.

Team Leadership:

Lead and develop a team of Property Managers.

Develop recruitment strategies to source and retain new talent to align with the growth plan.

Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for the team.

Take action to monitor the performance of individual team members and the overall team's effectiveness, conducting regular reviews and mentoring where needed.

Ensure the team is compliant with industry regulations and best practices, while driving a high standard of professionalism.

Business Development & Operations:

Work closely with the Director and the Business Development team to support new business opportunities, including attending pitches, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings.

Drive the growth of the portfolio by helping to secure new instructions and fostering long-term client relationships.

Ensure the effective delivery of operational business tasks such as financial reporting, strategic planning, and the implementation of company policies.

Provide input on the overall direction of the property management division, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a key point of contact for senior people in key clients and key stakeholders on strategic issues.

Represent the brand in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the business.

High level engagement with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure the smooth running of all services across the portfolio.

Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in property management, with a significant focus on
large scale management or dispersed portfolios in a corporate organisation.

Team Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing a team of Property Managers, dealing with performance issues and able to inspire greatness.

Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to work with demanding clients and deliver exceptional service in a high-pressure complex environment.

Qualifications: Degree level educated, MTPI qualified or equivalent relevant qualifications or experience.
