Following continued growth and the award of new contracts, we’re expanding our production team and looking for MIG Welding Operatives to join our busy manufacturing facility.
If you already have some MIG welding experience and want to develop your skills, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career with an established steel manufacturer. You’ll receive ongoing training, work alongside an experienced team and have opportunities to progress as the business grows.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll help manufacture high-quality steel products while working safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out MIG welding to the required quality standards
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely
- Reading and working from engineering drawings where required
- Inspecting your work and checking it meets our quality standards
- Supporting colleagues across the production department
- Keeping your work area safe, clean and organised
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to know everything from day one—we’ll help you develop. You will need:
- Some previous welding experience
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good attendance and a commitment to quality work
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am–4:00pm
- Salary paid monthly
Pay and Benefits
- £13.50–£15.15 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime opportunities available
- Weekday overtime paid at 1.33x
- Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x
- Planned production bonus scheme, subject to business implementation and qualifying criteria
