The Horseshoe Inn is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. Working alongside the General Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy country pub, helping to lead the team, deliver exceptional service and drive the business forward.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the pub.
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Acting as Manager on Duty, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Coaching, developing and inspiring team members.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation.
- Managing stock, cash handling and daily operational procedures.
- Ensuring all health, safety and licensing standards are met.
- Helping drive sales through excellent hospitality, local events and commercial awareness.
- Working closely with the General Manager to achieve business targets and continuously improve the operation.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous supervisory or management experience in a busy pub, bar or restaurant.
- Is a confident leader who enjoys developing people.
- Has a passion for food, drink and exceptional customer service.
- Remains calm and organised under pressure.
- Is commercially aware and takes pride in delivering results.
- Is flexible and happy to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
- Has a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a hands-on approach.
