We are looking for an experienced, practical and reliable Equestrian Maintenance Person to join our team at a busy, private Competition Yard with stabling for 24 horses.
This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for keeping the stable yard, fields, arenas, gallops and facilities maintained to a high standard throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and estate duties including:
* General maintenance and upkeep of stableyard and surrounding grounds
* Fencing, fencing repairs and maintenance
*Operating a JCB, Tractor, Quad, Buggy and other agricultural machinery such as Graders and Field rollers
*Year round field care including grassland and field maintenance
*Mowing with lawn mower
*Maintaining yard machinery and equipment
*General repairs and maintenance around the whole property
*Liasing with and assisting external contractors when required
*Loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment
*Maintenance and upkeep of the Water treadmill and Cold water Spa
*Ensuring machinery, equipment and facilities are kept safe, clean and in good working order
*Helping to maintain a safe, tidy and efficient working environment around the yard
We are looking for someone who is highly practical and hands on.
Experienced in equestrian yard, agricultural, estate or grounds maintenance.
Confident operating a tractor and JCB
Experienced with fencing and general land/field management.
Mechanically minded, with the ability to identify and deal with basic equipment faults.
Reliable and hardworking and able to work independently.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Flexible and willing to turn their hand to a full variety of jobs.
safety conscious and able to work responsibly around horses, livestock and machinery.
Previous experience working around horses or on an equestrian yard would be highly advantageous
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
