Summary
Caddick Construction is a family-owned business renowned for quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector. We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team based in the North West, working on a wide variety of Industrial, Commercial, Manufacturing, Health, Education and Residential projects, ranging in value from £5m to £150 Million.

What You’ll Do

Review tender documentation, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to bid strategies.

Complete accurate take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and conduct cost comparisons.

Work closely with the construction and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and methodology.

Produce tender handover packs for successful bids and support the project team through preconstruction.

Use software such as Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX, and Excel to manage estimating tasks and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience

Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry.

Familiarity with cost planning and two-stage tenders.

Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Conquest and Bluebeam/CostX.

Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement processes.
Personal Attributes

Highly numerate and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
