Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles operating efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to restore vehicle functionality.
- Conduct heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and standards.
- Interpret mechanical schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle.
Requirements
- Proven experience with mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair instruments.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual labor involved in repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
