Accounts Assistant Apprentice

About the Role
Agrimark is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our busy finance team in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in accounting and administration.
The successful candidate will receive full on-the-job training while studying towards a Level 2 or Level 3 AAT qualification (depending on previous experience and qualifications) through an approved apprenticeship provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger processing
- Sales invoicing across all areas of the business, including servicing, hire, vehicle sales, and parts sales
- Processing cashbook payments and receipts
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Assisting with vehicle stock orders and processing parts stock
- Monitoring sales invoices and assisting with credit control by chasing outstanding debtors
- Supporting the wider team with other ad hoc administrative duties as required
Skills & Attributes
We are looking for someone who is:
- Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Eager to learn new skills and develop a career in finance
- Confident using computers and Microsoft Office
- Good with numbers and problem solving
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a small, busy team
Experience
Previous finance or accounting experience is not essential, although it would be beneficial. We welcome applications from school leavers, college students, and anyone looking to begin a career in accounting.
