Cadbury Dental Practice is looking to recruit a Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our fun, friendly, and supportive team.
We are a well-established mixed NHS and private dental practice, ideally located on the beautiful Bournville Green, in the heart of Bournville.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in dentistry. Following the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Dental Nursing course, enabling you to gain your professional qualification while working within the practice.
The Role
As a Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist, you will play an important role in ensuring our patients receive outstanding care. Your duties will include:
- Welcoming patients and helping them feel relaxed and comfortable.
- Assisting dentists and hygienists during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Preparing treatment rooms before appointments and ensuring surgeries are cleaned and closed down afterwards.
- Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control and complying with all practice policies and procedures.
- Processing and developing dental radiographs (following appropriate training).
- Assisting with reception duties, including:
- Answering telephone calls and emails.
- Booking and managing appointments.
- Updating and maintaining patient records.
- General administrative tasks.
- Caring for dental instruments and practice equipment.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Working as part of a supportive and professional team.

Essential Requirements
- Willing to undertake a nationally recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Successful applicants will be required to:
- Undergo a DBS check.
- Be immunised against Hepatitis B (or be willing to commence the vaccination programme).
