What you’ll do:
As one of our tutors, you’ll:
- Support learners who may have: Challenging Behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), Autism / ADHD, Anxiety or EBSNA (emotionally based school avoidance), SEND needs, Gaps in education or disrupted learning experiences.
- Deliver engaging and personalised face to face or online sessions tailored to each learner’s needs. Subjects may include: English, Maths and Science.
- Adapt learning to support each student’s academic progress while helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive educational outcomes.
About you:
We are seeking tutors who are:
- Skilled at building positive relationships with children and young people.
- Patient, resilient and creative in their teaching approach.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Able to motivate and re-engage learners who may have experienced barriers to education.
What You'll Need:
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience supporting young learners with SEND, SEMH or other additional needs.
- Experience delivering core curriculum subjects across relevant key stages.
- Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to travel reliably to Saffron Walden.
