Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter and panel beater to join our team, specializing in auto body repair and restoration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and painting, demonstrating proficiency with various tools and techniques. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that meet customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Apply paint using airless paint spraying techniques and other methods
- Perform auto body repair and restoration tasks, ensuring vehicles are restored to their original condition
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks including buffing and detailing
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the repair process, addressing any concerns or questions
- Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes
- Handle heavy lifting of parts and equipment as required
Experience
- Previous dealership experience
- Proficiency in welding and mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Experience with auto body repair, auto painting, detailing, buffing, and auto glass installation is essential
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and airless paint spraying equipment is required
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs
- Experience in auto restoration or mechanic work is a plus
