Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Warehouse / 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver to join our logistics team at TFS Tonbridge. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering food goods to various customer locations while ensuring excellent customer service. Your role is vital in maintaining efficient operations, managing deliveries with precision, and supporting warehouse activities. Duties
- Safely operate a 3.5 tonne delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload items from the warehouse, including heavy lifting and careful handling of products
- Verify delivery orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities and items before dispatching or upon receipt
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing friendly service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organization, inventory checks, and preparing goods for dispatch
- Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, unloading, and warehouse activities to ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role with a strong focus on commercial driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating a 3.5 tonne vehicle or similar-sized commercial vehicle
- Warehouse experience including heavy lifting and manual handling skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations relevant to commercial vehicles
About The Job
- Hours are Monday to Friday and can be 5:30 - 3pm or 7:30 to 5pm Monday - Thursday and Friday 6am-12 Midday or 9am-3pm
