Job Summary
Piper joinery is a well-established Ashford company .
We are a supply only joinery manufacturer who produces high quality bespoke joinery to all sectors of the industry.
We are looking for an experienced joinery estimator to join our busy team.
This job brings plenty of variety as you will be responsible for securing jobs from a few thousand through to projects upwards of million .
You must be an enthusiastic, confident person capable of working with minimal supervision .
You will need be methodical and structured, with an understanding of manufacturing processes, as well as possessing excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities and skills required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Good knowledge of the joinery manufacturing processes.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
- Computer literate - with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and ideally AutoCAD;
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications;
- Commercial/ Contractual/Technical Awareness
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Produce quotation proposals, with relevant financial and supporting descriptive information , including build up rates to include labour and material cost
