Are you an experienced Crane Driver looking for your next opportunity? Join a fast-paced and dynamic team in the heart of the shipping and logistics industry. This is your chance to play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, supporting critical warehouse and port operations.
As a Crane Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating cranes to load, unload, and move cargo.
- Securing loads and adhering to safety standards.
- Conducting daily equipment checks and reporting any faults.
- Collaborating with ground staff, supervisors, and logistics teams.
- Following all site safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment.
- Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of loads.
- Assisting with additional warehouse or yard duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven experience in operating cranes.
- A valid crane operator licence (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent).
- A clean driving licence.
- Experience as a material handler, forklift operator, or multi-drop driver is advantageous.
- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Your typical day will involve:
- Operating cranes to handle cargo efficiently and safely.
- Ensuring all loads are secure and meet safety standards.
- Performing routine checks on equipment and promptly reporting any issues.
- Working closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all cargo movements.
- Supporting other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
