Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our salon team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for creating personalised hair designs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a friendly, welcoming environment, providing a range of hair styling services including colour, cuts, blowdries and occasion hair. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience while maintaining high standards of professionalism and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert hair styling services, including cutting, colouring and styling
- Offer personalised consultations to understand clients’ preferences and recommend suitable styles and treatments
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client check-in, payment processing and answering the phone
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and personalised service
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist within a busy salon environment
- Skills in barbering preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service with strong communication skills
- A recognised qualification in hairdressing or barbering is essential (NVQ level 2 or equivalent minimum)
