Late Shift Supervisor
Role Overview
Superlec is seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Late Shift Supervisor to lead our evening operations. In this role, you will manage team performance, oversee warehouse or floor workflows, and ensure all safety and operational targets are hit during our late-night hours.
This position is ideal for an experienced team leader who thrives in a quiet, focused night environment and enjoys having three full days off every week.
Key Details
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Sunday to Wednesday (4 days on, 3 days off)
- Hours of Work: 7:00 pm – 6:00 am
- Location: Superlec
- Bonus Incentive: An additional £150 weekly shift allowance is paid for 100% attendance (working all scheduled shifts that week).
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance
- Supervise, motivate, and support the late-shift team to ensure maximum productivity.
- Allocate tasks efficiently across the team and manage performance throughout the night.
- Act as the main point of contact for any staff queries or issues during the shift.
Operations & Logistics
- Oversee the night’s workload, ensuring all order processing, stock movements, or operational tasks are completed accurately.
- Conduct shift handovers with the incoming morning and outgoing afternoon supervisors to ensure seamless continuity.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks or stock discrepancies quickly and effectively.
Health, Safety & Security
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the floor.
- Ensure the premises are secure during and at the end of the shift.
- Report and document any incidents, damages, or near-misses according to company policy.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior role within a retail, logistics, warehouse, or wholesale environment.
- Night Shift Comfort: Comfortable working a consistent 11-hour night shift pattern.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly direct a team.
- Problem Solving: A calm, level-headed approach to handling unexpected issues without immediate upper-management oversight.
Personal Attributes
- Highly reliable with an excellent attendance record (crucial for securing your weekly bonus!).
- Self-motivated and able to maintain high standards when the main office is closed.
- Strong attention to detail.
