We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Kitchen Team by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces are sanitised and free from hazards.
- Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary tools and ingredients during service.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
- Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling practices within the kitchen.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and organising stock in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
- Capability to follow instructions accurately and work under pressure during peak times.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
