Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met and guest satisfaction is maximized
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure their needs are met and handle any special requests or concerns professionally
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all health standards are upheld during food preparation and service
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, with a strong focus on guest services
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food safety regulations, and basic food preparation skills
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, change handling, and order calculations
- Experience with kitchen operations or culinary environments is a plus for understanding food flow and timing
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Enthusiastic attitude with a proactive approach to upselling and creating positive guest experiences
