Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), with a focus on flatbed transportation for versatile cargo handling
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple destinations
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds, ensuring cargo stability during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and delivery confirmations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered on the road
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every journey
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 HGV driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles involving flatbed vehicles
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving
- Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle various weather conditions and traffic scenarios
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and secure loads properly on flatbeds
- Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and customers effectively

Pay: £14.50-£20.50 per hour
