VacanCV is exclusively partnering with a premier, top-tier flight school to recruit a full-time Flight Instructor. Operating across two thriving aviation bases in the region, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality training across a diverse menu of ratings and courses.
Our client values patience and a genuine passion for teaching on a bumpy first circuit more than just logged hours. Whether you are a newly-qualified FI(R) or a seasoned CFI, if you want variety over a single-airfield routine and a clear runway for career development, our client wants you in the right seat.
What You'll Teach
Variety keeps instructing interesting. You will rotate across the flight school's full training menu, rather than flying the same circuits every day:
- PPL Training: Ab-initio through to test for both fixed-wing and microlight students.
- Night Rating: Taking students from dark circuits to full night qualification.
- IMC Rating: Instructing in confident flying on one of the school's most requested ratings.
- Microlight: Lightweight, low-cost training for a fast-growing student base.
- Revalidation & LPCs: Keeping seasoned pilots current with club checks and refresher flights.
- Future & Bespoke Courses: Aerobatics, bespoke courses, and CPL training (commercial training is joining their menu soon).
The Career Flight Plan
This isn’t just a seasonal instructing job; our client is offering a structured route to Chief Flying Instructor with real development milestones:
- Join as FI: Start as Restricted or Unrestricted from day one, fully mentored by the team.
- Rate Up: Add Night, IMC, and Microlight teaching privileges through their internal development program.
- Senior FI: Take on examiner roles and act as the lead at your designated base.
- Assistant CFI: Share training standards responsibility and start deputizing for the CFI.
- Chief Instructor: Run training standards and operations for a top-tier flight school.
Requirements
- Instructor Rating: PPL or NPPL Instructor Rating. FI(R) (Restricted), FI (Unrestricted), or NPPL-instructor qualifications are all welcome, and our client will actively support you toward full unrestricted status.
- Medical & Licence: A valid Medical and Licence in good standing. Candidates must hold a current Class 1 or Class 2 medical, an up-to-date revalidation, and possess a clean instructing record.
- Teaching Passion: A genuine passion for teaching and helping students learn.
- Flexibility: A willingness to work across the client's two active sites with a flexible base allocation to support training variety.
