About the Role:
At MerseyPoint Technology Ltd, we develop technology solutions that help organisations modernise their operations, improve decision making, and deliver better digital services. Our teams combine product expertise with practical technology delivery to solve complex challenges.
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who can take ownership of strategic product initiatives and translate customer needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities into compelling product strategies. You will work closely with engineering, design, data, commercial teams, and stakeholders to guide products from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.
This is a high level specialist position with significant influence over product direction, prioritisation, and long term product outcomes.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment: Our Liverpool office provides a collaborative setting for product planning, customer workshops, research sessions, and cross functional collaboration.
Product Focus: You will work on digital products involving enterprise platforms, workflow solutions, data driven services, and technology modernisation.
Modern Delivery: Our product teams use agile methodologies, customer discovery, analytics, experimentation, and contemporary software development practices.
Professional Development: We support professional training, industry certifications, conferences, and continuous learning to help experienced product professionals develop their expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy: Define and communicate product strategies that align customer needs with commercial objectives and technology capabilities.
Product Discovery: Lead discovery activities to identify customer problems, validate opportunities, evaluate market needs, and determine where investment can create meaningful value.
Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain product roadmaps, balancing strategic initiatives, customer requirements, technical considerations, and business priorities.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, data, sales, marketing, and delivery teams to guide initiatives from concept through launch.
Customer Insight: Use customer research, behavioural data, market information, and product analytics to validate assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Management: Present product strategies, priorities, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders while building alignment across different functions.
Product Mentoring: Support junior and mid level product managers through coaching, structured feedback, product reviews, and knowledge sharing.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 7+ years of experience in product management, digital products, SaaS, technology, or a related field, with substantial experience managing complex products or product portfolios.
Product Track Record: Demonstrable experience taking products from discovery through delivery and measuring their performance after launch.
Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics, and agile delivery practices.
Commercial Awareness: Ability to connect product decisions with customer value, business objectives, market opportunities, and measurable commercial outcomes.
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex product decisions clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Experience mentoring product professionals and influencing cross functional teams without relying on formal executive authority.
Mindset: You are customer focused, commercially aware, analytical, and pragmatic. You know when to challenge assumptions, when to investigate further, and when to move forward with a well considered product decision.
Pay: £6,200.00-£7,900.00 per month
Work Location: In person
