Principal Associate – Property Litigation (10+ PQE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior level lawyer to help lead the London office of a highly regarded national Property Litigation team?
We’re looking for an accomplished Principal Associate with extensive expertise in residential leasehold and landlord and tenant disputes. You’ll take the lead on complex, high-risk matters, help shape departmental strategy and support the development of talented lawyers across the team.

This Property Litigation team is recognised for its technical strength, advising on complex regulatory issues, significant disputes and high-volume property portfolios.

What you’ll be doing
Acting as the technical expert on complex and high-risk property disputes
Overseeing legal strategy, risk management and quality assurance
Advising senior leadership on departmental planning and delivery
Guiding and mentoring Managing Associates, Senior Associates and wider team members
Maintaining hands-on involvement in significant and high-value cases
Deepening key client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
Raising the team’s external profile through training, publications and client initiatives
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a recognised property litigation specialist with substantial experience in:
High-level property litigation and landlord and tenant law
Complex residential leasehold disputes across large portfolios
Strategic litigation involving service charges, forfeiture and breaches of covenant
First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and court proceedings
Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:
The Building Safety Act and emerging regulatory frameworks
Remediation Orders and Remediation Contribution Orders
Leasehold reform, including the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024
Complex advisory work involving property management structures
