We are recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater on behalf of a well-established accident repair business in Telford. Duties:
- Repair damaged vehicle body panels and replace panels beyond repair
- Conduct chassis and structural repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Use jigs, fixtures, welding equipment, and other workshop tools safely and effectively
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical instructions, and job card requirements
- Ensure structural repairs are completed accurately and to a high standard
- Communicate additional repair needs to management
- Maintain vehicle care throughout the repair process
- Uphold high standards of workmanship, ensuring first-time quality repairs
- Keep tools, equipment, and the workshop tidy and safe
- Work collaboratively with technicians and management to meet repair schedules
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians when appropriate
- Attend relevant training to stay current with modern repair techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Panel Beater
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair, including welding, jigging, and structural repairs
- Good understanding of manufacturer repair specifications and methods
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team environment
- Awareness of health & safety and COSHH regulations
- Professional, reliable, and hardworking attitude
- Willingness to undertake further training and skill development
- IMI Accreditation is preferred, as is experience with modern repair materials such as aluminium and high-strength steels
