Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring all items are transported without damage
- Navigate using GPS and maps to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules
- Interact professionally with customers during drop-offs, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards
- Complete delivery documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipt confirmations
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial vehicle operation
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or peak hours as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in commercial driving are a plus
