Are you an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 5 years' PQE looking for an exciting opportunity in Chelmsford?
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a growing residential property team at its Chelmsford office, with the successful candidate playing an important role in developing the office's new residential property workload.
This is much more than a traditional conveyancing position. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with local agents and professional contacts, develop new business and contribute directly to the growth of the Chelmsford office.
The Role
You will manage your own residential property caseload while playing an active role in developing the local client and professional network.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied residential property caseload from instruction through to completion
- Advising clients on residential property transactions and providing clear, practical legal guidance
- Building and developing a new workload for the Chelmsford office
- Developing strong relationships with local estate agents and other professional contacts
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
- Ensuring all legal reporting and documentation is completed to a high professional standard
- Maintaining accurate and compliant case files
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including SRA and CQS standards
- Assisting with internal audits and maintaining best practice
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider residential property team
- Working alongside remote solicitors and support staff where appropriate
- Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
- Keeping supervisors and managers informed of progress, issues and key developments
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and data security
- Embracing legal technology and modern working practices
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded residential property professional who can confidently manage their own caseload while also contributing to the growth of the office.
Essential:
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Strong experience in Residential Property / Conveyancing
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer
- Proven ability to manage a residential property caseload independently
- Strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Good understanding of legal compliance and regulatory requirements
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
You'll also bring:
