Job Overview
We are seeking a professional LGV 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Duties
- Operate LGV 1 vehicles, including double deck curtain lorries, in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthineSecure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement during transitss
- Deliver goods to clients in a timely and professional manner
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times or issues
- Adhere strictly to driving hours regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle at all timesQualifications
- Valid LGV 1 (C+E) 6 points Maximum
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles
- This is a trunking roll, depot to depot mainly trailer swaps
- Experience with driving on motorways and rural routes
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure
- Knowledge of current road safety regulations and legal requirements for commercial drivers
