Now we're looking for a talented Field Service Engineer to join our growing team and become a key part of our global success story.

The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position combining workshop-based engineering in Saltash with customer support, commissioning, servicing, and technical problem-solving worldwide.
Approximately 50% of your time will be based at our Saltash facility, with the remaining 50% spent travelling to customer sites across the UK and internationally.
No two weeks will be the same. One day you could be commissioning new equipment at a major manufacturing facility overseas. The next, you'll be helping customers remotely, servicing, testing and calibrating equipment at our Head office.
What You'll Be Doing
Field Service & Commissioning
- Install and commission equipment on customer sites worldwide
- Perform servicing, repairs and upgrades
- Carry out software updates and system optimisation
- Conduct testing and calibration activities
- Deliver operator and maintenance training
- Ensure all work meets our quality and compliance standards
- Work safely on customer sites and follow both CI and customer H&S requirements
- Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records and customer documentation
Service & Technical Support
- Diagnose, service and repair customer equipment and machinery
- Provide expert support via phone, email and remote access
- Manage our customer helpdesk platform
- Help customers maximise equipment performance and uptime
Testing & Product Development
- Test, calibrate and validate equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain technical documentation and work instructions
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Engineering degree, HND, HNC, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service, commissioning, support, maintenance or similar engineering role
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with control systems, sensors, pumps, pneumatics, electrical fault-finding or industrial machinery
- Experience fault-finding and solving technical problems independently
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
Advantageous Experience
- Composite manufacturing equipment (not essential)
- Industrial automation or process equipment
- Testing and calibration processes
- Technical training delivery
- Helpdesk or technical support systems
- Documentation, procedures and knowledge management
