Duties
- Handle materials efficiently using appropriate techniques and equipment, including forklifts when certified.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring items are moved safely and accurately.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process orders.
- Pick and pack items meticulously for outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy before dispatch.
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure compliance with standards.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing documentation, inspecting goods, and maintaining detailed logs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory if willing to train.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and standing for extended periods.
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in stock management and order fulfillment.
