Miswa Chemicals is an ambitious, growing business with a track record stretching back 47 years. We continue to build on this heritage with a strong focus on innovation, quality and expansion across our transportation and industrial chemical portfolio.
We are seeking a high-calibre Head of Sales, to join the business and lead the sales strategy and commercial performance of the organisation across both domestic and export markets. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing all sales channels, and building strong distributor and OEM relationships in support of Miswa's transportation and industrial chemical portfolio.
The Head of Sales will oversee the entire sales team and function, ensuring alignment with commercial targets and business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive)
1. Sales Strategy & Channel Management
- Develop and execute the sales strategy across domestic and export markets.
- Manage all sales channels, with a key focus on distributor networks and OEM relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key distributors, OEM partners and export customers.
- Represent Miswa in commercial discussions with customers, distributors and OEM partners.
2. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the entire sales team and function.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs and performance standards for the sales team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop and mentor sales personnel to build a high-performing team.
3. Commercial & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work closely with Commercial & Business Analytics, R&D, Production and Marketing to ensure market-led sales execution.
- Support technical claims, product positioning and customer presentations in collaboration with R&D and Technical teams.
- Ensure sales activity aligns with margin targets and strategic growth objectives.
- Provide market feedback and customer insight to support product and commercial planning.
4. Reporting & Performance
- Report directly to the Sales Director on sales performance, pipeline and market developments.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting, reporting and account management records.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy.
5. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure systems and processes are followed to minimise the environmental impact of the operations.
- All activities on site are carried out in a safe manner, in line with policies, ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental statutory requirements are met.
- Compliance to all other HSE & HR Policies & Procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience within the transportation and automotive fluids sector.
- Proven experience leading and managing a sales team.
- Track record of managing distributor and OEM relationships across domestic and export markets.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
