We're looking for a Principal EQA Services Officer to take ownership of the more complex aspects of our EQA Services function. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of our External Quality Assurance service. Working closely with the Head of Risk, you'll play a key role in maintaining regulatory standards, supporting External Quality Assurers, and driving continuous improvement across EQA review, logistics and standardisation.
What You'll Do
· Oversee the quality assurance and review of EQA reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency and high standards.
· Support the application and monitoring of sanctions, ensuring evidence-based and proportionate decision-making.
· Prepare and support Quality Assurance Forum (QAF) meetings, including case summaries, documentation and follow-up actions.
· Provide guidance and support to centres following EQA visits, resolving complex queries and escalating concerns where appropriate.
· Oversee EQA logistics, supporting visit scheduling, shared inbox management and pre-visit preparation.
· Contribute and oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of online and face-to-face EQA standardisation events.
· Review trends in EQA reports to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Develop and maintain guidance, templates and training materials to promote consistency across the EQA network.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
· Contribute to audits, process reviews and service improvements.
About You
· Extensive experience within quality assurance, EQA or a regulated awarding organisation.
· A strong understanding of Ofqual's General Conditions of Recognition and regulatory expectations.
· Experience reviewing reports, providing quality assurance and making evidence-based decisions.
· Excellent organisational and communication skills.
· Experience planning, delivering or supporting training, CPD or standardisation activities.
· A collaborative, proactive approach with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
