Early Years Practitioner
Join our nurturing setting and help create a safe, happy, and imaginative environment where children aged 0–5 can learn, play, and thrive. We’re looking for someone caring, energetic, and full of creativity — ready to explore adventurous worlds, host endless imaginary tea parties, and embrace messy play with enthusiasm!
We are looking to fill two positions due to our increasing numbers and are flexible with part time and full time opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Support children’s learning, development, and well-being through fun, engaging activities.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Act as a key worker, building strong relationships with children and their families.
- Observe and support children’s progress, celebrating their achievements along the way.
- Work closely with colleagues and parents to provide the best possible care.
- Follow safeguarding, hygiene, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
- Assist with personal care, including nappies and toileting when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant childcare qualification (as recognised by Social Care Wales).
- A warm, imaginative, and team-focused approach.
- Good communication skills and understanding of safeguarding and equal opportunities.
- Someone happy to sing silly songs, get stuck into sensory play, and see the world through a child’s eyes!

Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations including parents.
- Ability to work as part of a team and work on one’s own initiative.
- An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.

- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Desirable:
· IT literate.
· Current First Aid Certificate, as required by CIW’s minimum standards, or be willing to attend training.
· Ability to incorporate incidental Welsh into everyday activities.
Training
- To undertake training courses and practical training as required.
Probationary Period: 6 months.
DBS Check: Post is subject to satisfactory DBS check.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
