Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, and prepare leather materials for production
- Operate sewing machines to assemble leather rims according to specified patterns and standards
- Stitch leather rims, the sewing requires strength and dexterity to stretch the leather onto the frames.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards through meticulous inspection and finishing
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
- Follow detailed instructions to produce customised leather rims as per client specifications
Qualifications
- 3 year's experience in leather working and manufacture is essential
- Proficiency in sewing techniques and familiarity with various leather sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Organised approach to tasks with good time management skills
- Willingness to learn new skills related to leather working and manufacturing processes
