Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee our security operations. This hybrid role integrates control room operations with mobile supervisory duties to ensure seamless security coverage across multiple sites. The postholder will monitor surveillance systems, coordinate incident response, and conduct on-site inspections to uphold safety standards and operational integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesControl Room Operations
- Monitor CCTV feeds, alarm systems, and access control platforms.
- Log and respond to incidents in real time, escalating as required.
- Maintain radio and phone communication with field officers and emergency services.
- Generate shift reports, incident logs, and system status updates.
- Conduct routine checks on control room equipment and software.
Mobile Supervision
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled patrols across designated sites.
- Conduct welfare checks and performance reviews of on-site security personnel.
- Audit site compliance with SOPs, risk assessments, and client-specific protocols.
- Investigate incidents on-site and support field teams during emergencies.
- Deliver briefings, handovers, and training updates to site staff.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in both control room and mobile security roles.
- Proficiency in CCTV, access control, and incident management systems.
- Valid SIA license (Door Supervisor or Security Officer).
- Full UK driving license with clean record.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Attributes
- First Aid certification and conflict resolution training.
- Familiarity with lone worker monitoring systems and GPS tracking tools.
- Calm under pressure, with a proactive and professional approach.
- Tech-savvy with experience in digital reporting and mobile apps.
Working Conditions
- Split between control room and field operations, with dynamic scheduling.
- May involve lone working, driving long distances, and responding to out-of-hours incidents.
