About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our staffing team in Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, promoting their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care and support.
Assist with moving and handling in line with safe working practices.
Support with medication administration where trained and authorised.
Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required.
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and support guidelines.
Maintain accurate and timely records and observations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and permanent care staff.
Promote safeguarding, dignity and respect at all times.
Report any concerns or changes in service users' wellbeing promptly.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a Support Worker or Carer.
Moving & Handling training.
Medication Administration training/competency.
Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, professional and compassionate approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a care team.
Desirable
Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
