We are looking for a Female Support Worker/Personal Assistant, to support our 17 year old daughter to access art and social opportunities. To develop independent Living skills.
She has some mobility issues and does use a wheelchair at times. Occasionally, she can exhibit some challenging behaviour when she does not want to do something , so it is important to follow the clear and calm strategies which are in place and work well to motivate her. Some experience working with children/young adults with ASD .
A clean driving licence and use of your own car with correct insurance is essential to be able to take her to social activities.
We are offering 18 hours per week. Hours would be mutually agreed with occasional weekend hours, could be either day to support her to access and engage in fun social opportunities.
Rate of pay is £15 per hour. 4 weeks paid holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays is applicable, as is access to a workplace pension.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we will be considering female applicants only for this post in accordance with the provisional of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010) pursuant to schedule 9 part 1
