Shift Patterns
- Long Day: 8:00am – 9:00pm
- Early: 8:00am – 2:30pm
- Late: 2:30pm – 9:00pm
- Weekend and Bank Holiday working is required and shared fairly across the rota.
About Gorsey Clough Nursing Home
Gorsey Clough Nursing Home is seeking compassionate, patient and motivated Care Assistants to join our Day Team.
We are an independently owned, specialist dementia nursing home providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with advanced dementia, including individuals who may experience complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
We are proud to have achieved an “Outstanding” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our home has recently been refurbished to provide a modern, welcoming and dementia-friendly environment. Our team is supported by user-friendly technology, including Electronic Care Planning and eMAR systems, helping us maintain excellent standards of care and accurate documentation.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and as much independence as possible.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred personal care
- Supporting residents living with advanced dementia and complex needs
- Supporting nutrition, hydration and overall wellbeing
- Promoting residents' dignity, independence, choice and quality of life
- Supporting residents who may present with behaviours that challenge, using empathy, patience and understanding
- Maintaining accurate, timely and professional care documentation
- Working in accordance with the home's policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Using your own initiative while recognising when to seek support

- Able to communicate effectively with residents, relatives and colleagues
- Willing to learn, develop and progress within health and social care
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
