Job Summary

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems, ensuring data confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in the organisation of sample collection schedules and manage documentation efficiently.
- Provide support to healthcare professionals by preparing necessary equipment and supplies for blood collection.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilisation of all equipment used during procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and documentation efficiently.
- Experience or background in healthcare, particularly in phlebotomy or related fields, is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in sample collection and record keeping.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.
- A recognised qualification in phlebotomy is essential.
