Responsibilities
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and dignity
- Implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
- Providing companionship and emotional support to those in your care
- Assisting with light domestic tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent and compassionate care delivery
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple care plans and responsibilities effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to ensure clear understanding with clients and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times
