Community & Social Media Manager
Location: Green People HQ, West Sussex
Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager
About Green People
At Green People, we’ve been creating certified organic skincare that’s kind to people and the planet for nearly 30 years. We’re passionate about helping people with sensitive skin discover products they can genuinely trust.
As our community continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who shares that passion and wants to build meaningful relationships with our customers, ambassadors, creators and influencers.
This is not a traditional social media role.
We’re looking for someone who will own and grow our community, bringing our brand to life through authentic conversations, creator partnerships, customer advocacy and real-world experiences. You’ll be responsible for building relationships that create loyalty, trust and genuine engagement while ensuring our community plays a central role in our social media content.
If you’re someone who naturally spots opportunities, loves building communities and understands what makes people connect with brands, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As Community & Social Media Lead, you’ll take ownership of Green People’s online community and help shape how customers experience our brand across Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and in person.
You’ll be responsible for growing our ambassador programme, identifying creators and influencers who genuinely resonate with our audience, nurturing our WhatsApp community, supporting events and our Horsham store, and ensuring every interaction reflects Green People’s warm, knowledgeable and trustworthy tone of voice.
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll bring authentic community stories into our social media strategy and continually look for new ways to strengthen customer relationships and grow brand advocacy.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both building relationships and creating engaging content.

- Build genuine relationships with our customers, encouraging meaningful conversations rather than simply responding to them.
- Identify and nurture loyal customers, advocates and superfans.
- Develop new ideas and initiatives that strengthen community engagement and customer loyalty.
- Monitor conversations, customer sentiment and emerging trends, sharing valuable insights with the wider digital team.
Influencer & Creator Partnerships
- Research and identify influencers, UGC creators and content creators who genuinely connect with our target audience.

- Build warm, genuine relationships with customers in person and bring the brand to life through knowledgeable, confident product conversations.
- Support in-store community activity, including events, sampling, customer engagement and content capture.
- Identify opportunities to connect online and offline community activity, turning in-person interactions into content, advocacy and longer-term relationships.
- Help capture social content and customer stories at events and in-store.
- Be flexible in supporting occasional evening or weekend events where required.
Reporting, Analytics & Insights
- Monitor and report on the performance of Green People’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
- Evaluate the performance of ambassador, influencer and UGC content, identifying what resonates most with our audience and using these insights to inform future campaigns.
- Track community growth across social media and WhatsApp, monitoring engagement, customer sentiment and advocacy.
- Present clear, actionable insights and recommendations to the Digital Marketing Manager to help shape future community, content and social media strategy.

About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and creating communities. You’re curious about people, naturally spot opportunities, and understand how authentic advocacy is built.
You’ll be equally comfortable responding to customer messages, recruiting new ambassadors, editing a Reel, supporting an in-store event and pitching a new community initiative.
