Young Engineers is looking for a highly organised, proactive and reliable Operations Manager to help run the day-to-day side of our growing children’s education business.
This is a flexible part-time role, with hours varying depending on our programmes and school activities. You will be the main point of contact for our instructors, schools and many of our parents, keeping everything running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Recruiting, onboarding and managing instructors
Checking instructor qualifications, DBS/compliance and availability
Ensuring instructors are in the right place, at the right time, with everything they need
Managing instructor schedules and attendance
Liaising with schools and being the day-to-day operational contact
Communicating with parents and responding to day-to-day enquiries
Sending parent updates, class reports, photos/videos and stories
Handling the day-to-day organisation and problem-solving
Recording instructor hours and providing these to the business owner for payroll
Escalating significant issues to the business owner when necessary
We are looking for someone who:
Is exceptionally organised and reliable
Is confident communicating with parents, schools and staff
Can work independently and take ownership
Is responsive and able to deal with things as they arise
Has excellent attention to detail
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, growing business
Has experience in operations, administration, education or a similar role (preferred)
Hours: Part-time, flexible hours to be agreed based on programme requirements
Location: Flexible / remote, with some availability during programme hours required
Pay: Dependent on experience and agreed hours
