Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our family owned and run, play cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for cafe service, barista trained and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise within a dynamic setting, ensuring high standards of food safety, customer satisfaction, and team performance. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in restaurant or hospitality management.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of operation.
- Must be barista trained to a high level
- Maintain organisation of the kitchen and service areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Support the management team in implementing operational policies and procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in a cafe role with barista exprience
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management in hospitality settings.
- knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes..
- Skills in serving, hospitality, and barista duties are advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
This is a part time role covering 3 shifts a week. This is a key holder role so you MUST be reliable and dependable. You must have high standards of cleanliness and very good communication.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
