Summary
We are seeking a Painter & Decorator and general maintenance member to join our dedicated team at Farthings Country House Hotel & Restaurant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the property and ensuring that all facilities are in excellent working order, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Painting & Decorating, both internally & Externally
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries regarding maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in decorating, maintenance or maintenance person roles, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills are essential.
