Reports to: Production Supervisor and Working Team Leader
Role Overview: Based at our Tallington site and reporting to the Production Supervisor. The Utility Operator will be responsible for ensuring all raw materials, WIP parts and finished goods are processed correctly and efficiently, alongside being responsible for ensuring products are produced to the highest standards, meeting the required safety and quality standards.
What our new Utility Operator and Production Operative will be doing:
- General forklift duties as required.
- Kitting of works orders.
- Stock checks / counts.
- Moving material from stage to stage of each process in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Liaising with Team Leaders / Managers to achieve optimum supply chain efficiency.
- Operating equipment in line with Health & Safety procedures and ensuring that this is adhered to at all times
- Working as part of a team and/or individually in a busy manufacturing environment ensuring that product is manufactured to the expected the standard.
- General operative duties capable of movement between departments.
- Assembly work.
- Palletisation of large components.
- Accurate picking and packing of small parts to documented bills and instructions.

The experience our new Utility Operator and Production Operative will have includes:
- Up to date FLT licence
- Previous experience in a Warehouse or Yard environment
- Experience in loading and unloading HGV vehicles.
- Order kitting
- General forklift experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a warehousing environment.
- Previous experience operating plastic forming machines is advantageous.
