Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious pizzas in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional meal preparation and food safety standards. The ideal candidate should also have experience in preparing steaks, fish dishes and pasta dishes and a variety of sauces.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of each dish
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality and safety
- Collaborate with team members to uphold the restaurant’s service standards
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making and meal preparation
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to the making and preparation of steaks, fish dishes and pasta dishes
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and hygiene standards in a professional kitchen setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail
- Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; however, a friendly attitude towards customers is desirable
