St Gregory's Nursing Home, is a family run Nursing home, we are looking for a Bank Staff Nurse to join our team, to provide nursing care to 28 service users.
JOB SUMMARY
Role is to cover Holidays & Sick leave as required. Shifts are 12.25hrs long, days or nights available.
Includes Paid Breaks and Double Time for bank Holidays.
To ensure that residents receive a high standard of nursing and residential care and comfort within the Home; aimed at creating a supportive, homely atmosphere where residents can achieve maximum independence. To provide liaison and direction, to the whole staff team during any one shift. To monitor and provide direction, in regard to the shift. To provide assistance and liaison, to the residents, families and friends of St Gregory’s House.
To work closely with the registered manager & Head of Nursing to plan and implement the suggested goals agreed by both parties. To maintain the homes standards at an optimum level and ensure the staff are monitored daily to ensure this happens. To work within the CQC guidance for care homes. To maintain a presence upon the floor of St Gregory’s House, to ensure the smooth running of the shift.
- With the direction and support of the Deputy Manager & Manager, to assist in the supervision and support of the “Care Assistants”.
- With the direction and support of the Deputy Manager & Manager, to assist in the training of new and existing members of Nursing and Care staff.
- With the direction and support of the Deputy Manager & Manager, to maintain and up date care plans, and other Forms/Reports as and when required.
- With the direction and support of the Manager, to assist with the ordering of the Medication and clearly document on the Medication Administration Records to the Residents.
- With the direction and support of the Deputy Manager & Manager, to monitoring and reviewing Resident’s health and welfare on an ongoing basis, liaising with Doctors, District Nurses & other Healthcare Professionals as required.
- Assisting the Deputy Manager & Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Assisting the Deputy Manager & Manager by Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each Resident
- Must comply with the NMC code of professional conduct and all other relevant publications.
- All required nursing tasks will be completed in a skilled and timely manner in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct. No task must be undertaken if you have not been specifically trained to do so.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £21.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.25 – 36.75 per week
