Ellis Media Events & Publishing is an established and growing publishing and events company based in Witham, Essex. We are looking for a confident, proactive and organised Credit Controller to join our busy Accounts department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous credit control experience who enjoys building positive customer relationships while ensuring accounts are managed efficiently and professionally.
About the Role
As our Credit Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting the smooth running of the Accounts department. Your responsibilities will include:
· Managing monies owed to the company by customers.
· Chasing outstanding payments by telephone and email.
· Processing incoming payments accurately.
· Reconciling customer accounts and invoices.
· Investigating and resolving account queries.
· Maintaining accurate financial records.
· Liaising with colleagues across departments to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
· Providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
· At least one year's Credit Control experience (essential).
· A professional, confident and courteous telephone manner.
· Excellent communication and people skills.
· Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
· Good attention to detail and accuracy.
· The ability to work independently using their own initiative.
· A positive, proactive and reliable approach to work.
· Confidence working in a busy office environment.
