We’re not looking for someone who can just pull cable — we need someone who can run jobs properly.
Halo Technology delivers structured cabling and wireless infrastructure across commercial and rail environments. We’ve been doing it since 2008 and work with clients like TfL and Network Rail. We’re growing our delivery teams and need a senior engineer who can lead from the front.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Running sites and leading small teams
- Delivering full installs from containment through to testing
- Working across offices, data centres, and live rail environments
- Switching between day work (commercial) and night work (rail)
You’ll need to be confident with:
- Copper installs (Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6a)
- Fibre (termination, splicing, testing)
- Fluke testing & certification
- Containment (tray, basket, conduit)
- Rack builds, patching, and clean cable management
- Fault finding and fixing issues properly (not just patching over them)
- Reading drawings and handling site changes
This role is NOT for you if:
- You’ve never led a job or supervised engineers
- You need constant direction
- You’re only experienced in one part of cabling (e.g. just pulling cable)
You’ll need:
- Solid experience as a Senior Data Cabling Engineer
- Confidence leading a team on-site
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have (we can help with these):
- ECS / CSCS
- IPAF / PASMA
- Rail certs (Sentinel, LU etc.)
The deal:
- £230–£280/day depending on experience
- 6-month contract with ongoing work likely
- Tools provided
- Strong pipeline of work across London
If you can run jobs, lead engineers, and deliver quality work without being micromanaged, we want to hear from you.
Pay: £230.00-£280.00 per day
Application question(s):
- Do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in termination and testing of CAT5E/6/6A Data cabling?
Licence/Certification:
- clean Full UK Drivers Licence (required)
Work authorisation:
- United Kingdom (required)
Work Location: In person
