Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The opening hours for the position are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30pm, Closed Weekends , The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental regulations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards.
- Inspect vehicle components including brakes, tyres, lights, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and report any issues or defects found during inspections.
- Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks as required.
- Ensure the testing bay is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with current MOT legislation and technical requirements through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive inspection role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
- Valid MOT Testing licence issued by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to maintain high standards of vehicle safety through thorough testing procedures.
Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
