A large private household is looking for an experienced housekeeper for a long-term position.
DUTIES
General cleaning and tidying throughout: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas. Vacuuming, mopping and dusting. Cleaning mirrors, glass and internal windows as required. Regular deeper-cleaning tasks when needed.
All household laundry from start to finish, including ironing, folding and putting clothes and linen away. Changing bedding and making beds.
Keeping the kitchen clean and organised. Preparing coffee and other simple drinks, and preparing simple everyday meals.
Grocery and household shopping, using funds provided, and keeping track of everyday household essentials.
Keeping the outside areas tidy: sweeping, bins and recycling. Light garden tidying only, not specialist gardening or heavy maintenance.
General day-to-day upkeep, keeping the household clean, organised and well maintained.
HOURS AND TERMS
Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm. No weekends.
£450 per week, paid every two weeks against invoice.
Self-employed position. You invoice us and are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance.
Off-street parking available.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience as a housekeeper in private households.
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Competent with laundry and ironing, and able to cook simple meals.
Comfortable working in a home with a dog. No dog care or walking involved.
Set up as self-employed and able to invoice.
Two contactable references from previous private households.
Right to work in the UK.
