Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated swimming instructor to join our Swim:ED programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to primary school pupils. This role offers an excellent opportunity to promote water safety, develop teaching skills, and foster a love for swimming. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to the abilities and needs of participants, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to strict water safety protocols and supervising activities at all times
- Assess individual progress and provide constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their skills
- Maintain a clean and organised pool environment, including equipment and safety gear
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues regarding lesson plans, progress, and safety procedures
- Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages confidence and enjoyment in water-based activities
- Assist with organising aquatic events or specialised programmes as required
Qualifications
- Recognised swimming instructor qualification
- Previous experience teaching swimming
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages
- Knowledge of water safety standards and emergency response procedures
- Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for promoting water safety and aquatic activities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
- First aid certification is advantageous

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
