The Role
We are looking for an experienced Groundworker with a valid Dumper Ticket to support a short-term project in Northampton NN4. The successful candidate will assist with groundworks, operate plant safely and support the team to ensure works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Please note: this will not be a full-time plant role. You will be expected to carry out manual work including digging, levelling, moving materials and other general labouring tasks - so you must be fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
This is a corporate environment, so correct working methods, site presentation and professional conduct are expected at all times.
Start date: Monday 27th July for approximately 3–4 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general groundworks including levelling, digging and preparation of areas.
- Operate dumper safely and efficiently in line with site requirements.
- Assist with manual labouring tasks as required.
- Maintain safe working areas, including material laydown zones.
- Follow instructions from the site manager and work in line with company procedures.
- Adhere to high standards of health & safety, site presentation and correct working methods.
- Conduct all works in a safe, compliant and non-disruptive manner.
- Ensure PPE compliance and maintain site cleanliness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Dumper Ticket.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual work.
- Own transport to and from site (paid travel within 15 miles).
- Professional conduct suitable for a corporate client environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attitude to health & safety.
